In 2000, Bruce Stacy, after spending over 30 years working his way up the ranks at Drexel Heritage, decided it was time to help others find great quality furniture at great pricing. As a custom craftsman, Bruce also found his creative side and began designing and building custom furniture. Many pieces were created to accommodate the client looking for that special piece and others just because Bruce had a vision that he thought would result in a unique furniture piece. From a unique bench inspired by an antique door to beautiful Harvest Tables, both wood and zinc topped, Bruce allows his creativity to create a beautiful one of a kind piece.
In 2005 Bruce purchased the 100 year old Alba Waldensian manufacturing plant in Valdese, NC. He began renovating and reclaiming this fabulous space, which had sat empty for over 5 years. Bruce opened the building up to other local businesses in the furniture trade believing wholeheartedly AMERICAN MADE means quality. Today this historic building continues to house several vibrant businesses.
Bruce is well known in the furniture world as a quality designer & furniture builder, oh yes and a great horse trader!! In the fall of 2009 E.J. Victor requested that he open a 40,000 square foot warehouse and sell their discontinued inventory, overstocks, showroom samples, returns and imperfects.
By fall of 2010 the inventory was well over 900 pieces from that particular manufacturer as well as six other well known high end manufacturers who came to Bruce with the same request ~ “Help us sell our showroom samples, overstocks, and returns.” B & S continues to grow so much it has meant a new location in Connelly Springs, NC.
